It is true that Reds were poor in every department at Watford last weekend, as they lost their unbeaten record in the Premier League. Tuesday was a little bit different, though, because they made lots of chances as they went out of the FA Cup at Chelsea, but looked vulnerable at the back. That was unusual to see with Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez together at centre-back, but you have to remember it was not Jurgen Klopp's strongest side - there were some kids mixed in there too.
It is important to me that you know I really enjoyed playing for this club a lot. Besiktas can be proud having such passionate fans behind them always giving amazing support," he added. You always supported me in good and bad times and I will always remember you in the best way. Also I want to say thank you to all my team-mates, coaching staff including all people working for the club. You welcomed me with arms wide open from day one.
I've become a full-time painter and decorator," laughs Steven Pressley. His former team-mate Gary Caldwell, meanwhile, has turned his hand to gardening. Both men lost management jobs in the first half of the season and have spent the intervening months without a full-time role. Coming out of the relentless world of football is a big adjustment, especially during these uncertain times. So what's it like to go from the whirlwind of club management to unemployment?Caldwell sacked by Partick ThistlePressley dismissed by CarlisleLosing your jobThe first stage is the most painful.
Partizan Beograd meets Crvena Zvezda in Serbian Cup. A significant cup match for both teams and I go for a draw and correct score 1-1. FK Crvena Zvezda being a better team will dominate the match though also they are the defending champion. There has been 5 draws in last 9 direct meetings.
Van Basten apologised later in the programme while Fox said in a statement on Monday that the comment was "stupid and inappropriate" and that it had suspended the three-times Ballon d'Or winner until December 7. The channel added that Van Basten's wages for the week would be donated to the Netherlands Institute for War Documentation.
let's take a look at the England league one where Shrewsbury will be hosting oxford united. The hosts are 15th on the log with 41 points from 33 games and a win will see them jump to 13th on the log. Meanwhile the visitors are 7th on the log with 57 points from 34 games and a win will see them jump to 3rd on the log. The hosts have managed 2 wins and 3 losses in the previous five games while the visitors have 4 wins and 1 lose in their last five games. These promises to be a tight clash and I think we will see 2 or more goals been scored
To be honest, over the last few years, if anything came up, any player would think about leaving but I was the guy who said it publicly. Before joining Inter there had been speculation that Eriksen could move to Manchester United. However, he said: “It was never really likely. We did speak to them of course and we did hear what was possible and what wasn't possible.
The second duly followed around 10 minutes later. Firmino was the provider again, picking up a long ball and finding Henderson, who applied the finish and effectively ended the game as the contest. That killed the game and Henderson soon set up Salah for a third with a deft touch inside, which the Egyptian lifted over the onrushing McCarthy.
When they play to that level, it's very difficult for every team. My players have been brilliant. We're in second and we're in a semi-final (of the League Cup). For us, it's a case of looking to always be at our best and to try to put in performance level that shows how we work. Rodgers also hopes Harvey Barnes will be available for the game after the midfielder injured his ankle.
To fans of Hearts' arch rivals Hibs, 3 May is [unofficially] Albert Kidd Day. Kidd: "About 10 years after the game I was invited to a Hibs supporters convention in Sydney. They made me player of the year. I met Billy Connolly on the steps of a hotel. When I told him I'd scored a couple of goals that helped Celtic win the league, he said straight away 'You're Albert Kidd'. He invited me to his show that night and backstage afterwards.
Inter Milan booked their place in the last 16 with a 4-1 aggregate win over Ludogorets in a match played behind closed doors at San Siro due to the coronavirus. The hosts led 2-0 from the first leg but conceded an early away goal as Oliveira Souza struck for the visitors. Any nerves nerves Inter had were settled by a 31st-minute Georgi Terziev own goal, though, before a bizarre header from Romelu Lukaku made it 2-1.
Mount, James, Gilmour, Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori can now see just what is required at Chelsea, and will be better players for it. The manager is gaining experience too. And it seems more big acquisitions are on the way. Lampard, for a relative rookie, has earned the respect of his squad judging by the way they picked up at Leicester following his angry words. Owner Roman Abramovich has clearly seen enough to be convinced his manager is worth backing with big money.
Everton are in 16th place and host Arsenal who are in tenth but only four points above the home side. Since the sacking of Marco Silva, Everton have earned four points from games against Chelsea and Manchester United and climbed out of the bottom three. They are only three points above the relegation zone and could have Carlo Ancelotti in charge by the time this game takes place.
Arsenal played out a drab 0-0 draw with Everton last time out which was interim boss Freddie Ljungberg’s parting match. The Gunners have just one win from 13 games in all competitions, hence the appointment of Arteta, and they come up against Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth who have lost six of their last 8 games with wins against Manchester United and Chelsea in between.
Since winning promotion to the Premier League in 2018, Wolves have won all three of their fixtures with West Ham. Two of those three games featured fewer than 2.5 goals. We expect another low-scoring encounter here between two teams that have been inconsistent in front of goal recently.
Thomas Tuchel is a great coach and when I see him, I will certainly greet him and I think he will do the same. We worked well together for two years, and in the end things got a bit tough. We will certainly not become great friends in life any more. But that was three years ago. Match statsThe only previous encounter between Borussia Dortmund and PSG was in the 2010/11 Europa League group stages - both games ended in a draw (1-1 in Dortmund, 0-0 in Paris).
Now Villa head into this clash as the top-flight side, with Fulham on course for the playoffs for the third time in four seasons. However, they are on an even footing ahead of this FA Cup Third Round encounter on Saturday, with the Championship side actually favourites for the victory this weekend.
You don't need us to remind you what happened the last time Leicester were as well-placed at this stage of a Premier League season. And while we wouldn't suggest the Foxes book Andrea Bocelli again just yet, the stats behind their impressive start to this campaign do hint at something special brewing once more at the King Power Stadium. Out-foxing opponentsThe 2-0 win at Brighton means Leicester have equalled their best run of consecutive victories in the Premier League.
Gorodeya host Dinamo Minsk in the 4th round of the Belarusian Premier League. So far, both teams have won only 3 points and are ranked in the bottom of the league. However it is only the start of the season so it's still too early for concerns.

Players who are under contract shouldn't really take it for granted. Being out of contract can be a daunting prospect, especially during a global pandemic. The football calendar has been hit hard by coronavirus, curtailing the regular seasons in Leagues One and Two and creating an uncertain future for players experiencing a year like no other. On 30 June, more than 1,400 players were expected to become unemployed - 1,060 in the English Football League and about 400 in the Premier League, according to the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA).
Joelinton, 23, arrived at Newcastle for a club record fee in the region of 40 million pounds ($51. Bruce said the Brazilian is a doubt for Saturday's league trip to Crystal Palace with a thigh problem, adding to the injury list with fellow striker Andy Carroll also sidelined with a hip problem. He (Joelinton) will hopefully train today.
Nurnberg and Erzgebirge Aue are meeting for a Bundesliga 2 match at Max-Morlock-Stadion, Nuremberg, Germany. Nurnberg are going to be the hosts to UAE. Nurnberg has won the last 4 home matches against Aue and now they have a good opportunity to make a fifth one.
But Lampard paid particular tribute to the returning former stalwarts who had endured frustrations earlier in the season. That is what we need. That's football, whether you're four months from the end of your contract, no matter if you were out of the team for a month," he said. You have to train every day, full pelt.
Whilst the jump from the Turkish 1. Lig into the Super Lig is typically a tough one for promoted sides to make, hosts Denizlispor are having no such issues thus far this season. Coming into the campaign looking to do nothing more than merely retain top flight status, they have defied expectations to come into this round of fixtures stationed in a very healthy 9th place.

Goals have been hard to come by in Group B with just 11 goals coming from the 4 sides and things don't look like changing much with just two goals being scored in the last round of fixtures, leading to the 2.5 goal line being beaten just once in the group so far. There has certainly been a lack of goals so far, something we're predicting will continue into matchweek five.

Read the full story Alaba signals intention to leave Bayern Munich There is set to be a battle between Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester City this summer to sign David Alaba, who is looking to leave Bayern Munich after 12 years of service with the Bavarian club, according to German tabloid Bild. Pep Guardiola wants to sign the versatile Austrian to replace the inconsistent Benjamin Mendy at left-back but the player would prefer a move to either Madrid or Barca.
Taipower have won their first two matches in the league and they will be keen to keep their 100% record unharmed when they travel to play against Ming Chuan University. They started their new season with a 3-2 win against Tatung, then they caused a shock win against Tainan City 1-0. The team must be on high on spirits. They will be aiming to take advantage of Ming Chuan's shaky defense. Taipower will try to win here as they will play against Taipei Red Lions next, this could be a 5 match winning run for the visitors. Ming Chuan University had all sorts of problems in the first 2 matches, and I do believe that they are capable of matching the high-flying league leaders
The two English sides will meet in the semi-final if they win through. City - trying to win the competition for the first time - are joint-favourites with German champions Bayern. Atletico Madrid, who eliminated defending European champions and new Premier League winners Liverpool, will face Germany's RB Leipzig in the quarter-finals. Italian side Atalanta - winners of their past 11 games in all competitions - take on French champions Paris St-Germain, who have not played since 11 March after their domestic season was abandoned.
The Athletic Club reached the semifinals after a big win over Barcelona (1-0). However, they lost 2-1 to Real Sociedad in the local derby. The Athletic Club, aiming for the 24th Cup in its history (last in 1984), goes to the match in order to take the lead in qualifying from the first leg. Oscar de Marcos will be absent.
Leganes are not been good in this season especially at home. They are coming from a heavy defeat Against Barcelona by 5-0 goals in the Copa Del Rey , and they only won thrice in home this season. They have also suffered defeat 7 times at home this season.
Al-Sadd, managed by former Barcelona midfielder Xavi, took a first-half lead through Algeria striker Baghdad Bounedjah. Hienghene's Amy Roine equalised with the referee using the pitchside video assistant referee monitor to award the goal after initially giving a foul. Extra-time goals from Abdelkarim Hassan and Pedro Miguel gave Al-Sadd victory. The Qatar side dominated the game, having 69% possession and 37 shots, but missed a host of chances in normal time.
Northampton are six places higher in the table than their opponents. Wasps have lost five of their seven league games this season. Two out of three Wasps home league games have ended in defeat. Northampton Saints are second in the Rugby Premiership, a point behind leaders Exeter Chiefs. They are not at their best on their travels though and will look to get a win away at tenth placed Wasps.
Hartberg and LASK will face each other in the upcoming match in the Austrian Bundesliga. Hartberg this season have the following results: 11W, 5D and 12L. Meanwhile LASK have 19W, 4D and 5L. This season both these teams are usually playing attacking football in the league and their matches are often high scoring.

Utd tonight. Cue arguably Fellaini's finest Premier League performance, terrorising Manchester United in all parts of the pitch and reducing makeshift central defender Michael Carrick and his colleagues to rubble. And, just for good measure, Fellaini scored Everton's winner with a towering second-half header before departing to a thunderous standing ovation from all corners of Goodison Park. Being told to "stick that in your pipe and smoke it" was one of the more generous Twitter responses.

Hertha Berlin have not enjoyed the first half of the season, for the most part. Die Alte Dame looked to be heading for an unexpected relegation battle throughout the first half of the season. However, in recent weeks, Hertha have put together a positive run of results.
Having came into the campaign hoping to challenge for the title, it's all gone horribly wrong for the visitors and they are now just looking for the season to end with their top flight status intact. Nonetheless, having failed to score in their last 3 matches, it's hard to see where Cruzeiro's desperately needed goals are going to come from in the remaining games and you have to fear for them in this particular game.
We played some nice football and brought in some of our greatest players. We've got a lot of respect for him but it often doesn't work out when a manager returns to a previous club. But actually with the way the team is performing at the moment, lacking in belief and togetherness, you know at the very least that David Moyes is somebody who understands this football club, understands what it means and what a privilege it is to be part of it.
Both teams registered in seven of those nine fixtures, and with Brighton and Chelsea both mixing underwhelming defensive performances with some sparkling attacking play, we think there is value in backing both to score again on Wednesday.
Club Brugge successfully performs in their domestic competitions, has not lost for twelve games in a row, and is confidently in the lead. True, in the Belgian championship there are no close teams at the level of Manchester United. But if you take their performance at the group stage of the Champions League, where they came from, then everything is not so happy, Brugge did not win a single victory, but played a draw three times, twice with a direct competitor Galatasaray, and once with Real Madrid. This unexpected score, and allowed the Belgians to go out into European spring.
Sunderland haven't been in great form, but this game cannot be described anything but a gilt-edged chance for them to put a much-needed three points on the board. Punters can profit by backing 'Sunderland to Win & Over 1.5 Goals'. At home, the hosts remain a useful side, while they have a good record against the lesser teams having beaten MK Dons, Southend, Tranmere and AFC Wimbledon. They scored at least twice in three of those four victories. Combine this with Bolton's dreadful away record and backing the hosts to notch twice on route to victory makes plenty of appeal.
